Jackie Leggett is the designer and maker behind Jackie Loves Clogs. She studied art at Carlisle College followed by a degree in footwear design at the former Leicester Polytechnic. Being one of the few chosen to take part of The New Designers Exhibition in London, Jackie created her very first pair of clogs, paying homage to her great- grandfather, who used to produce traditional clogs in Maryport. A passion for beautifully crafted footwear was born.
Since graduating in 1992, Jackie has produced exclusive clogs and made-to-measure footwear to a number of independent shops around the UK. Most recently, she’s been working alongside fashion designers, bringing to life a collection of bags and accessories which are showcased at Paris Fashion Week.
All of Jackie’s creations are lovingly handmade, by her, in her house in Leicester. Her strong sense of style and her eye for vivid and vibrant colours give her clogs a contemporary edge whilst always complimenting the natural beauty of the wood and leather. Using techniques she’s learned along her 20 years of experience she produces distinctive pieces to express your unique individuality.
